The Foundation, in addition to its original purposes of study and research in the fields of architecture, design and urban planning, with particular attention to young people and their inclusion in the world of work, promoting the protection and enhancement of Villa Arconati-FAR.

Established in 1983 and legally recognized by the Lombardy Region as a non-profit organization, it operates in the local area promoting cultural initiatives, reports and national and international connections, as well as an important restoration project of the Villa and its Garden. Its goal is not only to return this heritage to the community, but to enhance today, in a contemporary and international perspective, the identity of place of architecture and the arts that in the past earned it the name of "Versailles of Milan"

To realize its mission, in its thirty years of activity the Foundation has committed itself in particular to supporting the growth of professionalism and creativity of young architects and designers and has promoted a systematic research, exchange and comparison activity.

Since birth he has worked in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture of the Milan Polytechnic, supporting scholarships for his students. Since 1991, his activity has expanded and structured to respond more effectively to the needs of the changed scenario of training and design culture, developing its supply, research and cultural activities from an international perspective.

Today the Foundation opens up to a new challenge by placing itself - thanks to its new headquarters, Villa Arconati, and its project of cultural recovery and reconversion - as a reference and attraction pole for the creative and sustainable development of its territory.
